Newsletter Spring 2026

                                            Welcome back 6S

January 2026

I hope you had a lovely break. We are continuing with our concept ‘Unity’ with the question ‘How does unity impact society?’

School day

The school day starts at 8.40. Please be on time arriving and collecting your child from school at 3.10.

If your child is unwell, please inform the office as soon as possible.

Uniform

Children should wear the school uniform every day. Please ensure all items of clothing are labelled (including their tie)!

Children should also bring in a named water bottle.

PE

Our PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure your child has a labelled PE kit for these days. We request that, due to asthma, children do not bring sprays of any form in: deodorant should be applied that morning before school.

Homework

It is still important that children are reading every night. Reading daily will help with their writing and understanding! They are also practising their spellings in class, so may bring home some words to practise.

As you are aware, this year is an important year for year 6. This term we will be doing a mock SATs week so that they are familiar with the routines (and what to expect) when they sit their SATs in May.

We are also planning a visit to Norwich Aviation Museum this term. A letter will follow shortly.

I am looking forward to an exciting term ahead!

Thank you,

Mrs Sanderson
